Understanding the US Bankruptcy Court

The US bankruptcy court is the system our government uses to monitor for any and all bankruptcy cases. Cases of bankruptcy are not able to been processed through standard state court systems. There are over ninety-four federal level courts spanning the country and are situated in different states. Each of these court systems come together to make up a portion of the United States bankruptcy court system.

Tasks of the Bankruptcy Court

When companies or individuals (be them married or single) are no longer able to maintain their financial debt or proper payment of bills incurred, these are the type of situations where the bankruptcy court steps into place. They provide valuable resources and information that can be obtained for free, helping to educate citizens on how to avoid bankruptcy and how to file for bankruptcy if there are no alternatives available.
